Australia deserves better

The issues confronting Australia and the world are more demanding than ever. These pressures risk eroding our hard won freedoms and rights. That’s why we need a genuinely independent political force at all levels of government advocating for solutions based on compassion, justice and equality.

I like this, I want to donate

The Australian Democrats stand up for the rights of all Australians. We strive to eradicate discrimination, bigotry and exploitation, and to end once and for all the marginalisation of Indigenous Australians, asylum seekers and other minority groups. We strive to ensure protection and care for the environment.

There is an urgent need for a moderate, common-sense voice speaking up for policies and laws grounded in the universal principles of justice, fairness and equality. We have a proud 30 year record of doing just that. It's time to bring back the Democrats.
